What is Prep 4 Life?
I believe that all people, regardless of ability, have a purpose and should be able to participate in meaningful and challenging activities, establish personal relationships, and contribute to society when provided with appropriate supports and opportunity. Prep 4 Life will work with individuals, their families and service providers to design and implement individualized programs that foster growth and independence. When we have a purpose in life, we thrive. Prep 4 Life will be dedicated to creating a family and a team of support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A disability is not a mistake or a failing. Every disability is accompanied by a variety of abilities. At Prep 4 Life, we believe all of these abilities are amazing treasures and gifts.
Skills that will be taught
Daily Living-
Skills necessary to live as independently as possible such as cleaning, cooking, grooming and laundry skills will be taught.
Vocational-
Skills needed for employment will be taught. In house jobs from local businesses such as assembling, stamping, shredding, filing, sorting, etc. will be completed.
Social/Emotional-
Skills needed to appropriately interact with family, work, and community members will be taught and practiced.

Mrs. G's T's & Things
Mrs. G's T's & Things will be incorporated into my dream business, Prep 4 Life! This smaller business will be run by my students!!! There are many vocational skills that can be practiced, such as sorting and sizing t-shirts, designing on the computer, packaging, mailing, delivering, sorting vinyl colors and types, advertising, marketing, and much more! My students will also complete other various jobs for other local businesses. I will continuously work hard at making their lives meaningful and purposeful!
